Born out of four friends’ individual experiments with art rock, chamber music, metal, free improvisation and film soundtracks, The Atomic Bomb Audition filters traces of these impulses through doom metal heft and pop-hook sensitivity. The result: apocalyptic love songs for an ever-ending world perpetually reborn. Referencing artists as far flung as The Melvins, The Cure, and Angelo Badalamenti, the band reveals something altogether unique—loud in feeling, heartbreaking in reach, yet always hopeful in spirit.
